Pool Remodeling & Renovation

Start with repairs that influence the finished result, then choose optional improvements. If work will be phased, ask which future additions could disturb new finishes so the sequence can be evaluated before construction.

Discuss outdoor additions before committing to the finished deck and coping. A proposed kitchen, fire feature or lighting change may need its own scope, including how it connects with the existing pool area.

Tampa Pool Remodeling Case Studies

Skimmer Leak Patch and Structural-Crack Assessment in Tampa
June 2026

Problem: The pool was losing water and required testing of the skimmer, wall fittings, main drain, structure, equipment plumbing and light.

Diagnosis: Static dye and electronic testing located a leak at the skimmer entrance. The wall fittings and main drain tested free of leaks, while inspection identified structural and beam cracks that would require a permanent repair scope.

Work completed: The skimmer-entrance leak was patched with two-part epoxy putty and retested successfully.

Recommendation: Structural staples and tile replacement were specified for permanent correction of the beam and structural cracks, and a remodeling estimate was prepared from the site findings.

Pebble Finish, Tile, Skimmer and Lighting Renovation in Tampa
July 2026

Project: This Tampa renovation coordinated a new pool finish with tile, cap tile, skimmer replacement and a color LED light. The selected finish was Lucayan Blue River Rok pebble, with Ripple Blue waterline tile and Sea Breeze cap tile.

Preparation: The project record includes a change order for complete removal of the delaminating finish across a 970-square-foot surface. That scope went beyond the limited hollow-spot removal included in the original finish proposal.

Work completed: The closeout documents demolition and installation of the tile and cap, replacement of the skimmer, installation of the light and application of the new finish. The finish certificate records a July 24 application date. The lighting equipment entry identifies a Pentair color pool light, model 602152, installed on the same date.

Commercial Pool Deck Settlement Assessed in Tampa
February 2026

Problem: Settlement had affected the deck around a Tampa commercial pool.

Diagnosis: The technician observed the settled deck during the assessment and received a copy of an inspector's list of pool violations for review.

Solution: The proposed deck work was to correct the pitch and relevel the settled areas. A quotation was also to address the inspector's listed items.

Result: The assessment documented the deck condition and established the proposed scope, with the specific corrections to be defined in the quotation.
