PALM HARBOR POOL REMODELING
Pool Remodeling & Resurfacing in Palm Harbor
A pool remodel can solve different problems: a rough finish, damaged tile, an awkward deck edge or equipment that no longer supports the way you use the pool. For your Palm Harbor property, separate the repairs you need from the features you want before choosing materials.

If you are deciding between renovating the pool and building a new one, compare the usable layout, access and desired features first. Bring a sketch or photographs so the discussion starts with what must change rather than a finish sample alone.

Pool Remodeling & Renovation
List the areas that feel rough, have visible damage or need an updated appearance. Mention water loss and equipment trouble separately; a new surface does not by itself establish or address the cause of those problems.
โ Pool resurfacing
โ Finish selection
โ Tile and coping replacement
โ Deck improvements
โ Equipment upgrades with renovation
Think about how people move between the house, deck and pool. Lighting, outdoor features and surrounding materials can be considered together so that one improvement does not leave another part of the project unresolved.

Localized Gel-Coat Damage Assessed in Palm Harbor
July 2026
Problem: The technician found a spot approximately the size of a half dollar where the pool's gel coat was missing.
Assessment: A two-part epoxy application was discussed as a temporary patch, with no assurance about how long it would last. The notes distinguished that limited approach from renewing the surface coating.
Recommendation: Reapplying gel coat was identified as a possible next step, with an ecoFINISH option also recommended for consideration. The visit documented the affected area and the repair-versus-refinishing choices to review before selecting the project scope.

Complete Pool Finish, Tile, Travertine and Skimmer Renovation in Palm Harbor
December 2019
Project: This renovation combined a new Pebble Brilliance Lagoon interior finish with replacement tile, silver-tumbled travertine coping and a silver Versailles-pattern travertine deck.
Surface preparation: The documented process included draining the pool, removing the hydrostatic plug, grinding beneath the tile line and around fittings, removing hollow material where found, acid washing the shell and applying a two-part SGM bond coat before the new finish was hand-troweled and washed to expose the pebble.
Tile and deck work: The project included removal of the existing tile, beam preparation and leveling, installation of new tile, pitched wet-deck preparation, travertine coping and deck installation, joint filling, and a new deck-drain system.
Additional work: The skimmer was replaced with a gray-lid unit, and the surrounding deck area was restored as part of the scope. A separate record for the same property documents a customer-supplied handrail installation with two brass deck-anchor kits.

Planning Your Project
Keep a must-do list and a wish list. The first records repairs and functional concerns; the second covers appearance and added features. Reviewing them separately makes it easier to compare proposals and understand which choices change the work.
